This article provides steps on how to configure ZEF's L2 chargers to collect payment from drivers.
1. Order and Apply Charge ID Labels (QR Codes)
If you'd like drivers to be able to pay to use or access your charger via the ZEFNET Charge mobile app, it will need to have a ZEFNET Charge ID label applied to the front. In many cases, these labels will have shipped with your chargers. If not, you can use this link to order them; note that you will need to specify whether you need app-only stickers (if your charger doesn't have a card reader), or 'app and CCR' stickers (if your charger does have a card reader).
Once you've physically applied a label to the front of your charger, note down its 6-digit Charge ID. Then, enter that number in that charger's Port ID in the allocation menu, with the owning organization set to ZEF.
If your charger has already been allocated, you can double-click its listing in the Devices module, then click the edit icon, and navigate to the PORT menu to make these changes. Otherwise, you can enter this while allocating your Charger
2. Get set up to receive Remittance Payments for fees collected on your charger(s)
Each month, your organization will receive remittance payments for any fees collected from drivers that use your chargers. ZEF can issue payments electronically via Bill.com, or via check.
3. Create and Apply a Billing Profile to your Charger(s)
Billing profiles define the costs that drivers are required to pay to user your charger(s). Note that your charger will not actually collect fees unless you have set it up in an Access Pool that requires payment.
