This section walks through how to remove a charger from a Load Control group and into a time of use configuration for the onboard energy meter. The audience for this article is primarily for Electric Utilities who have pre-existing chargers under load control, but the homeowner wants to move to Time Of Use.
Step 1: Remove the charger from Load Control
First, navigate to the groups tab, and find the load control group that your charger is in. Click on the row to select it in blue, as seen below. Once selected, hit the minus button in the top right hand corner. This will immediately remove the charger from the load control group, it may take up to 2 hours for the load control to be cancelled on the charger itself.
Step 2: Add the charger into the TOU Group
In the Group tab, click on the icon in the top right hand corner to toggle from Report groups to Billing groups. The Billing groups view will show you Time of Use groups that you can add devices into. In this example, we want to add a device into the TOU (Billing Cycle 1) group.
Double click on the blue highlighted row, and that will allow you to enter that group, see below:
Now, click on the plus (+) button on the top right hand corner, and the device selection dialog will be created as below:
Select the charger you want to add to the Time of Use group, and hit save. This will have added the charger into the Time of Use group, and the configuration will be pushed within the hour down to the charger.
3. FINISH!
You have completed the task of removing a charger from load control and moving it into a Time of Use group!
