Overview: This outlines the requirements for a Tesla to charge at a ZEF charger.
Teslas utilize the North American Charging Standard plug type, which (at the time of writing) is not currently available on most non-Tesla chargers. In order to use a ZEF charger, an adaptor is required.
For Level 2 chargers, a Tesla -> J1772 adaptor is required.
For DC Fast chargers, a Tesla -> CCS or Tesla->CHAdeMO adaptor is required, depending upon the plug type.
1. Level 2 -> Tesla Adapter
All Teslas come with a Level 2 (aka J1772) to Tesla plug adapter. The Driver should attached the Tesla Adapter onto the J1772/L2 plug. Once engaged on the plug, then it can be put into the vehicle and used as normal.

2. CHAdeMO/CCS (DCFC) -> Tesla Adapter
A fast charger/DCFC/Level 3 Tesla adapter does NOT come with the vehicle. This can be purchased online via the Tesla store.
