All ZEFNET chargers have self healing capabilities to provide the maximum amount of uptime. Sometimes chargers can be installed in locations where signal strength can be challenging. This article describes the LED colors and patterns which describe the status of the modem. This information is very useful for ZEF technical support.
Standard Bootup Cycle:
This is the pattern that will be observed when successfully booting and connecting after powerup. White -> Green Flash -> Cyan Flash - > Cyan Breathing.
Connecting to Cellular Network:
When the LED light is flashing green, it indicates that the modem is connecting to the cellular network.
Connecting to ZEFNET Network:
Once the modem is connected to the cellular network, the modem then connects over the internet to the ZEFNET backend, and this is attempted during the time that the modem is flashing cyan.
Connected to ZEFNET:
Once the modem is connected to the cellular network, and the modem has successfully connected to the ZEFNET platform, the modem then breathes cyan.
Signal Strength:
Tapping the MODE button on the modem will blink out the bars of signal strength in green. More blinks indicate a stronger signal.
Providing information about the LED pattern is helpful when submitting a support ticket. A support ticket can be created at: https://support.zefenergy.com/support/tickets/new
This will help the support team determine the next course of action.
